LIttle By Little

I'm finding it very hard to start my work =/ Always the same after every holiday i have really. It doesn't help that i've been playing the new Tomb Raider game =)

Tomb Raider Legend has been really fun to play actually. I heard really bad things about the previous game, though it's been the only one i've never played, nobody knew what to expect. The game engine is really different to the previous game - much more like Prince of Persia (without all the stupid running along wall moves) - but the game still feels like Tomb Raider in my opinion.

The graphics are great and the gameplay really fluid since there's no grid system and the controls aren't actually too bad. The controls can occasionally be a bit wierd (i did start playing it with a pad but reverted back to keyboard/mouse) but they let you do a lot quite easily. The actual Lara character is a lot better than the other sequels, she looks and sounds a little different but definately in a good way and interacts and speaks a lot more.

The levels are really interesting and fun to play through and the storyline is very Tomb Raider, though more movie like as every game seems to be these days. "Croft Manor" is also quite good and took nearly an hour to complete! A couple of negatives would be that the levels can be a little short, the combat is nice but a little too different for me and it's also been a little linear and lacking in puzzels you actually have to think about. All in all i'm having fun playing it and recommend it =)

Well, i wasn't planning on writing a review but there you go. I'll give it 8.5/10. I've decided to do my Emerging Technologies essay on Nanotechnology which i'm actually looking forward too once i finally get round to it. I have just under 2 weeks and i need to start my research soon. It also doesn't help that the Snooker World Championships are currently on =/

Big congrats to Middlesbrough last night - once more we were in a situation where we needed to score 4 goals and scored the 4th in the 90th minute =) They're in the UEFA Cup Final and it's only their 2nd season in europe all together which is fantastic. Another woo for Liverpool in the FA Cup Final =)

I'll leave you with Dave the Chameleon, i saw this on tv with Becky the other night and couldn't quite believe it =)

Half The World Away

Well i'm back at uni. Easter was good - nice and relaxing. The second week seemed to fly by really. It's the final push now, 6 more weeks the rest of my life begins.

It finally feels like summer is getting here - it's been such nice weather recently. It's definately put me in a good mood, warm sunshine and late sunsets. I used to really like winter but i'm definately a summer person these days.

It's strange to think that for the first time there is nothing to go back to after summer. I really hope i put the effort into getting a job. I'm also looking forward to moving out at the end of the summer too, either to Leeds or within Hull possibly with Mr Wilson. We'll be party animals ;-)

I've mostly been listening to Black Sabbath / Led Zepplin / The Who / Oasis recently which has been very good :) I've also been catching up on the Lost / Prison Break / Scrubs / My Name Is Earl / Desperate Housewives i've been unable to download over the hols too. Right back into the student lifestyle - i slept till gone 1 today without realising =)

Here's a picture of my princess who is just fantastic =)

Peace x

Further Away

I've been back in Hull a fe days now, and it's been good. I keep forgeting how many of my friends actually live in Hull these days and always presume i'm going to see everyone when i'm back home. Been out a few times, Spiders was spiders pretty much, and Pozition was pretty deserted. So far no spectacular nights, just low key drinking with freinds.

Keep meaning to go play squash but so far Wilson hasn't been able to. The net connection i have here is rubbish so i can hardly get on really, just now and again. Nothing much to write about really! Just relaxing and not doing anything, and this nice weather makes it quite enjoyable to do so =)

Welcome To The North

I've bought far too much food for my last two days here. I'm full all the time, which is kinda nice i guess, but i'm going to get real fat real quick :)

Here's a great 1983 tour film of Arnie Schwarzenegger visiting the Carnival in Rio. He likes the ass =)

The woman he's with looks so uncomfortable all the time... It's hard to believe it's real, especially when he teaches her english at the end - what's that he teaches her after biting? =)

Perfect

Woohoo no more work for over 2 weeks! I finally did my presentation on Games Consoles this afternoon which went down very well. Now i can just kick back until the hols =)

I've also played with the look of the site. I simply delete all the style to it and made myself start from scratch. I was initially looking for templates i could then modify but i just thought sod it. I'm currently happy with the way it looks (i always thought the other one looked kinda dirty) but as always opinions tend to change over time...

I think tomorrow i'm just going to watch videos and play computer games the entire day =D

Marvellous

Today has been quite a good one really. I finished my report the other day and got it printed, bound and handed in this afternoon =) It came to about 12,500 words and in total spanned 164 pages! It's a huge relief to get it out the way with.

I got a pressie today from the fabulous Phil today which was a very nice suprise =) It's "Geometry, Relativity and the Fouth Dimension" - a book i started some years ago but never got round to finishing it. It was recommended by my Further Maths teacher who was one of the best teachers i've ever had. I'm looking forward to starting it. Thanks Phil ! =)

I've also signed up at Postcrossing.com - a site where you send and recieve postcards to and from random people =) I'm very excited about this and have already got 2 cards written that i'll send to Germany and Finland tomorrow.

it's all go up till Easter now :) i'll be just kicking back and relaxing. I'm home saturday 8th for 2 weeks if anyone's interested. I'm planning of going out quite a bit, my life since xmas has been pretty dull and intense

Rock on x
