Alright
Thought I'd just make a quick post to wish Merry Christmas to all, and a Happy New Year =)
My Christmas has been good this year, though it's not really felt like previous years. Seeing all my friends on Christmas day was good, though strange and felt quite low key. It's been a relaxing holiday, a nice break i guess. I got a new monitor (19" TFT) some nice clothes and great DVDs, including Jamiroquai live, Napoleon Dynamite and Layer Cake, all of which are fantastic =)
Unfortunately I've not seen much of my gf since she has been working loads and the Leeds Lot who could only come back for a week, but it could've been a lot worse i guess. Anyways, I'm just relaxing to some funky Jamiroquai before heading to Leeds for a New Years Party later. Need to work myself up into a party mood, but i'll be happy to not go crazy tonight.
Let me know what your Christmas has been like, and i'll catch you in in the new year.
Peace x

Blow Your Mind
It's the Christmas Holiday! How did that happen? Even though i knew it was coming, it still seemed to appear from nowhere. I go home tomorrow and I'm all excited. Woohoo =)
I'm looking forward to catching up with all my friends (the ones that can be bothered to go back to Hull =P), seeing Becky a lot and relaxing! Not that i live a strenuous life as such, but the work has been stressing me out a bit.
Anyways, it's time to be merry and stuff, so here are the Google Videos I've bookmarked since a couple of posts ago. If you've been on Google Videos much before you've probably seen a lot of these. Enjoy! =)
- Russian climbing abandoned buildings. Pretty cool stuff.
- Speed climbing with Dano Osman. Amazing. This guy is mental.
- Attack of the Rat Monster!
- Some crazy Japanese show. Screaming girls versus a lizard =)
- Those crazy screaming girls again, this time versus a big black man.
- Some things money can't buy.
- How men screw up romance.
- Robot Chicken. Created by Seth Green.
- Aphex Twin - Girl/Boy Song.
- Aphex Twin - 4.
- Aphex Twin - Analogue Bubblebath.
- The best Robot ever! I love his dancing clothes. Embrace the nerd.
- Sweet football skills in Amsterdam.
- The music of Sonic the Hedgehog on piano.
- Jeep: Bouncy and Fun.
- Amusing old movie line.
- Doctors agree on Camel Cigarettes. Some 1950s commercials.

Stop
I know why blogs are so boring. Mine is boring, i've just read it. When i read others, no matter how interesting their life is, it just doesn't grab me. When i read the blog of someone i know i end up just looking for references to their life i already knew about.
Why do we want people to read about our lives and opinions, are we trying to change peoples perspective? Or is it just to get attention, wanting people to be interested in you, getting them to confirm your existance? Maybe it's all wrong. Maybe some people like to escape into someone else's life? I prefer to stay with reality, stay with my own thoughts and find out more about myself. Waiting to be inspired. Reading about somebody's life that doesn't relate to me in the slightest doen't seem to inspire me.
Maybe i've been reading the wrong blogs.
Maybe this blog is a contradiction. Maybe my life is boring.

The End
I've just been watching all my beloved FarScape DVDs again lately =) I truely think FarScape has been the best thing ever to be produced for television, it was such a crime that it didn't get a fifth and final series.
FarScape was amazingly intelligent, funny, exciting and so original and different with so many fantastic cliffhangers throughout the seasons, but the complicated ongoing storyline and character developments, which created such a strong and loyal fanbase, made it difficult for the fanbase to increase in size at all. The fans who watched it from the begining grew to love the show more and more, but it seemed harder and harder for people on the outside to get in. It could never achieve a fanbase the size of Star Trek or Stargate because of this, and also because of how original and 'alien' the show was to others.
It was good that we got the mini-series FarScape: Peacekeeper Wars because of the devotion of the fans, but it just felt like an entire season of 22 episodes squashed into 4 which spoilt it a bit for me. Just one more season, that the writers had planned on and already written, would've finished off such a fantastic masterpiece of Sci-Fi.
Alas, it was not to be, but i really recommend anyone out there to give it a go. I'm sure a lot of the bigger video rental stores have it (or used to) or maybe download some to see what you think. You can buy each 10 disc season on dvd for £60 from Play.com.
Peace.

Falling
I fell ages ago.
Here's some angry writing from a couple of years ago when I was confused:
Shadow
the artist
sitting in his room
imagines discontent
wondering what it would feel like
grafting the emotions upon himself
pretending he is special
and that people want to hear his pain
trying to lie
force pitty and cares
pretends he is precious
willing people to learn his name
telling himself he is a true person
ignoring his own thoughts
presuming that he knows himself
an illusionist
invisable man
dreams of feelings
creating art for his self image
following the rules in being somebody
a stranger to himself
a creation of envy and vanity

Who can help but love this song? It might even be impossible! =P When a band have a song like this as a b-side, it just shows how amazing they are =)
My brain has failed on me once again. I was working away and got quite a bit done, but after a trip to the kitchen I sit down and my mind is blank. I try to think of the sentence I want to write, but nothing happens. It must be some sort of condition, can anyone diagnose it?
On a nerdy note, my 'net connection has just been upgraded to 10Mb =D I know if you're not from the UK that might not sound great, but here it is! I've downloaded at speeds of 600kB/s today. Oh yeah, embrace the nerd =P
I've been far too obsessed with Google Videos lately, I've lost hours of my life looking at random ones. Here's a couple more for you to look at if you've got spare time you desperately want rid of:
- How and why not to blow up a whale!
- Cats being cats
- Table Tennis: Matrix Style
- Ninja Training Camp
- Pokemon! Gotta catch 'em all!
- How to get from Stockholm to Uppsala (68km / 42miles) in under 15 minutes
Anyways, I'm going to go and do something interesting. Rock on.

I was just browsing http://video.google.com/ and found "2005 World Yoyo Contest 2a division 1st place". Take a look at this:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6172413039732226697
I kinda remember doing stuff like that in primary school, but it usually resulted in injury. You might have to stop it from playing to let it buffer a bit first.
On another note, went to the pub to see Liverpool win their 6th game in a row to go 3rd in the Premiership, above the Arse, and Peter Crouch also scored! Get in! I'm sure you're all glad to hear that =P
I also saw a video of an octopus eat a shark =)

How Can You Be Sure?
Is a blog only suitable for interesting people? Or people with something to say? I wonder what sort of people read blogs like this one, I bet you're a bit bored :P
Another week of uni gone, only 2 weeks until the Christmas holidays. Once again time changes speed and catches us unprepared. I haven't got an Advent Calendar this year again too, it just doesn't feel like that time of year yet.
I am looking forward to Christmas though, i just love the atmosphere of the holiday! Decorations everywhere, cold weather, seeing friends, being merry and all. Can't beat it.
Don't suppose anybody has noticed but the title of my posts have been titles of the songs i've been listening to at the time. Points for those who can name the artists to them! This posts title could be a little tricky for some so bonus points this time.
On another note, I've found more information pointing to Radiohead releasing another album soon, maybe within the year! Head over to http://www.radiohead.com/ for more details! They've posted a picture of song titles scribbled on a blackboard, and it includes Mornin' M' Lord which I love, as well as Big Ideas (aka Nude) which has been around sometime already.
I've just got a Frou Frou album, Details, and it's well worth a listen I think. It's pretty old though so you might already have it :P
Here's a cup cake i ate the other day

I've just got a Frou Frou album, Details, and it's well worth a listen I think. It's pretty old though so you might already have it :P
Here's a cup cake i ate the other day
