Immerse Your Soul In Love

Simple Things

I was thinking blog posts should be kept short so they don't get boring. But if a blog is written with a desired user in mind, does that make it a 'true' blog? Or is a 'true' blog where the blogger just types their mind out in words?

I'd say the latter, but i don't want to get bored either.

That is why you should read blogs written by interesting people.

You better leave...

It Means Everything

Things i have done in the last 7 days:
  • Had fun at Becky's party
  • Had fun at Spiders (part of Becky's party)
  • Recieved fantasic graduation presents, namely a ring from my princess that i love.
  • Seen Superman Returns at cinema. Very good film with a great cast (except Lois Lane).
  • Let my crazy rabbits run around the garden while i bathed in the sun. x2
  • Seen Mikey from Leeds =D.
  • Seen the sexy Holding siblings
  • Been to the pub
  • Helped Wilson sort his computer out
  • Played Halo, UT2003, DK2, Rocky Legends, Snooker, Golf on various gaming devices.
  • Watched a 'classic' NFL game.
  • Watched the manic Baseball 'Home Run Derby'.
  • Watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on DVD.
  • Have purchased a wireless router in preparation for Karoo Broardband (finally).
  • Purchased some more shorts
  • Written 5 more postcards to send over Postcrossing.com
  • Have been looking forward to: new season of The Contender, new Spiderman movie, new Rocky movie.

That is all.

You Blow My Mind

This week seems to have passed pretty quickly. It was Becky's birthday on Wednesday - She's hit the big 2-0 now and we all know it's downhill from there so commiserations ;-) We went to Stefans on the evening for drinks and games before heading on to Attic - it was a good night and fun as had. Even though I borrowed my mum's camera we failed to take photos so you'll have to use your imagination.

Also, I got my degree results the same day - a 2:1! =) I was so relieved, I've been quite anxious since my last exams but it is all done with now and I'm happy, just got to wait 'till November to graduate now...

Tomorrow (Saturday) Becky is having another party - we're having a bbq at her house and then on to Spiders via Lamp so feel free to drop by at some point =)

Music Is My Radar

[insert generic 'not blogged for ages' comment]

It's not been a particulary eventful couple of weeks but i've been getting by =) The job search has not resulted in success so i should start expanding my search i guess. I've been working on a couple of sites that could hopefully bring a bit of money in but more important give me more experience to put on my CV.

I've been out a few times but nothing extra special. Room (Attic) was good again. Played a bit of footie on Pearson Park with Matt, Stefan and Ian and then watched 'I ♥ Huckabees' which was a great philosophical film that i'd love to see again and understand a bit better.

Big congratulations to my friends that have got their degree results back! Well done Chris (1st), Ian (2:1) and Ellie (2:1) =) Puts the pressure on me now but i still have another couple of weeks to wait and forget about them.

I spent the other day with my rabbits and decided to take some photos of them while playing around with mums camera. Heh, i really need a job i guess.

(you can see my reflection in her eye)

Hazel
Just chillin'

I've just spent today washing my Nans guttering for her which wasn't too bad, especially for £20 =) Tonight is going to be a relaxing night in with the missus just chilling. I certainly need a shower first though...

Spiders tomorrow (Sat 8th) if anyones interested, i hear lots of Leeds people are heading back for P's birthday. Don't suppose anyone would read this in time but let me know if you do. Catch you later x

Gong Endir

Blogging is getting ever more infrequent i'm afraid. When i'm back in Hull i never really spend much time on the internet, i seem to spend more time with my friends and family. I'll try to get a blog in every now and again but no promises i'm afraid =/

I've had fun since i've got back in Hull, been going out quite a bit and got to see Becky quite a lot, though she's started work full time now =/

My uni exams were very hard and i really don't know how i've done in them, i wouldn't be suprised if i fail a couple of modules. I get my results 19th July (my princess' bday) so i just have to wait 'till then and see what happens.

I went to Attic (formerly Room) last wednesday night for the new rock night which was awesome. I met so many people who were there because they used to go to Room 4 years ago and there was a real good atmosphere. I'm looking to go next wednesday if i can, let me know if you want to go =)

Spiders, last Saturday

Not really much more to report, I've watched every match of the World Cup so far and it's been such a great tournament, even better than i was expecting =) I'm currently looking for a job (i've signed on and everything) but it looks ever more likely i'll be moving to Leeds at some point this summer.

Think i'll leave things at that.

Love and peace x

There's No Other Way

Wow, it seems like it's been ages since i've blogged. The past week i've been attempting to revise for my exams, of which i only have 1 left =) They've been really hard and i'm just aiming to pass these with hope my other modules are good enough to bring my degree up to a 2:1. It's so bizarre that i only have a single exam left from my 4 years here, i'm going to miss being a student so much! Next stop - full time job =(

All the TV programs i watch from America have finished now which means i have to find other forms of entertainment. I think of all the things i've watched this year i've enjoyed Prison Break the most - it's just so exciting and enthralling i can't get enough of it. And the way they left it at the end of the season was so annoying =)

Lost has also come good in the end. Season 2 started off really well, then it seemed to lose its appeal a bit, but the season climax was great and it's still one of the best tv shows out there. Desperate Housewives season 2 has also been good, though some of the storylines have become a bit wierd and it seems to have lost its direction a little after having solved the original suicide/murder storyline in the first season.

At least i have Big Brother to entertain me now =) Make fun of me if you want, but you're just too afraid to embrace it =P

Anyways, last exam on Monday and then i'll be heading home on Tuesday for summer. Actually it's not -just- for summer now.

Peace x

Comforting Sounds

Not really been in a blogging mood lately. Thought i'd just post to show i'm still here.

Last week was good, went to Radiohead on the tuesday which was fantastic and attended Matthew's cheese party on the saturday which went down really well.

Just been back at uni this week trying to start some revision. I've now got a rough idea of what i need to revise but considering these last exams stand in the way of my entire degree i'm not particulary motivated right now =/

The Push

Just had to post these clips from Mel Brooks' brilliant Spaceballs. I love this film so much, i'll definately have to fish my dvd out and watch it again =)

(I couldn't embed them without them autoplaying so i'll just give the links)
